Dr. Larraga is dedicated to providing her oncology patients with the best care she can, which is why she is constantly trying to expand her skill set and broaden her knowledge base. In 2022, she received her Master of Science degree in palliative care from Newcastle University.

Why Study Palliative Care?
Cancer is a serious condition, and while our oncologist was educated in developing treatment plans, she wanted to do more for her patients. She went back to school to study palliative care so she could better serve her patients' emotional needs.
Palliative care is meant to improve the quality of life for patients who have serious or life-threatening illnesses. It trains a doctor to consider the patient as a whole and treat any psychological, social, and spiritual problems they may be having as a result of their illness.
