Dr. Larraga is dedicated to providing her oncology patients with the best care she can, which is why she is constantly trying to expand her skill set and broaden her knowledge base. In 2022, she received her Master of Science degree in palliative care from Newcastle University.
All of our doctors understand that what you're going through isn't easy and you'll need a lot of help to get through this time in your life. Like all of our staff members, Dr. Larraga is known for her ability to provide strong emotional support.
We understand that it's important for patients to be able to communicate in their native language. Even though we're located in Tijuana, our oncologist speaks both English and Spanish so she can best serve the needs of all of her patients, no matter where they're from.
Dr. Larraga's Oncology Journey How She Got Here
Our oncologists have helped many stage 4 breast cancer patients and triple-negative breast cancer patients achieve complete remission.
Why Study Palliative Care?
Cancer is a serious condition, and while our oncologist was educated in developing treatment plans, she wanted to do more for her patients. She went back to school to study palliative care so she could better serve her patients' emotional needs.
Palliative care is meant to improve the quality of life for patients who have serious or life-threatening illnesses. It trains a doctor to consider the patient as a whole and treat any psychological, social, and spiritual problems they may be having as a result of their illness.
Oasis of Hope Breast Cancer Center in Tijuana takes a holistic approach to care, and palliative care is part of that.
Oasis of Hope’s therapies are intended to work together harmoniously, in a complementary or synergistic fashion, to slow or reverse the spread of cancer while promoting the physical and psychological health of the whole person.
